Point and Figure (P&F) charting is a method of plotting price movements without consideration of the passage of time. P&F charts use columns of X's to represent rising prices and columns of O's to represent falling prices.
- X columns: Indicate rising prices
- O columns: Indicate falling prices
- Intervals: The minimum price change required to plot a new mark
- Reversal: Price change needed to start a new column (typically 3x interval)
